The new Apple TV: A hobby or a passion?
Apple’s ‘One More Thing…’ announcement at it’s Music Event this month was the introduction of a new Apple TV. Since it’s release in 2007, it never really has revolutionized watching and downloading content on your television. Now with the new ‘streaming-only’ Apple TV – will Apple be able to turn this product from a hobby into a passion?

Minitube: Mini Video Player with Big Results

Stop pouting because Minitube is the application you’ve been looking for. Minitube allows you to search for videos in a breeze without any complications in between.

VLC Media Player: Fast Compatibility
Well here on AppYourMac we have reviewed truck loads of music, video and general media playing applications. But we have neglected to review one of the most incredibly useful media player out there. Although, ironically, it is also one of the simplest. VideoLan Media player (VLC) is open source, free, application that allows you to play close to all media formats in existence and fast!

We have reviewed video converters on AppYourMac before, but I can truly say that none are as simple and easy to use as MoviePod. MoviePod can take many video file types and can prepare them for playback in iTunes and obviously iPods.

ScreenFlow: Professional Screencasting
As a reviewer and tech enthusiast, I find myself teaching those less technically aware than myself how to do various computer tasks that range in complexity. I find myself frequently having to physically show my audience a solution, rather than writing or vocally explaining. I have also recently taken to recording technology based tutorials for a wider audience, and without ScreenFlow none of this would be possible.
