Apple Media Event: A quick look at the new iPod Nano
Hello people of AppYourMac, it’s been a while. How are you? I’m good, thanks for asking. So, the new iPod Nano. The device is now Apple’s 6th generation Nano and very different from it’s predecessors; fearing a built in touch screen for the first time. The touch screen enables the device to be even smaller because it doesn’t need a click wheel which means there’s even room for a clip, much like the iPod Shuffle. The touch screen also makes the Nano somewhat cooler in my humble opinion.

Flight Control: Land a 747 Jet on Your iPhone!
Ever been on a plane and wonder what goes on when you take off and touch down on the runway? Well now you can control your own plane and touch it down for points on your device! Flight Control is a game for the iPhone or iPod Touch in which you control many aircraft’s as your drag your fingers across the screen to navigate them down. As a huge user of the iPhone, I don’t find myself loving any games in the app store so much, that I purchase them. But with Flight Control it was a whole different story! It is a very entertaining game!

Like many tech savvy enthusiasts, I strive for good crisp sound with a strong bass and versatility. When it comes to earphones, I look for a product that can live up to the demand of everyday life, whether it be losing yourself in music at the gym, or writing that all important essay. Keeping that in mind, it must also live up to my desire for good quality audio and must have a certain finesse in it’s design and features. The s-JAYS earphones are a strong contender to live up to all of my specifications.

iCall – Makes calling easy on the iPod Touch
iCall has been around for about half a decade, and has helped over 3 million people make free calls over VoIP to landlines, cell phones, etc. While iCall’s computer software had been exclusive to Windows computers, they recently released a free iPod Touch and iPhone application that enables users to make VoIP calls over WiFi (no calling over 3G due to Apple restrictions). Sounds good, especially for iPod Touch users, but is it too good to be true? More after the break…

We have reviewed video converters on AppYourMac before, but I can truly say that none are as simple and easy to use as MoviePod. MoviePod can take many video file types and can prepare them for playback in iTunes and obviously iPods.

Earphones… Or ear-buds. I can never really tell the two apart, or if they are the same thing. I am of course talking about the little things you shove in your ears and think, ‘Surely this must be bad for my ears’. Specially when you have to max out the volume to even have a chance of hearing your music over background noises when you’re out and about.
