NetNewsWire Beta – with Google Reader sync
I’ve written about NewsFire before, what used to be my favorite RSS aggregator. The only problem with NewsFire, is that your feeds are locked down to one computer as it has no syncing capabilities. That’s where the new NetNewsWire Beta comes in, which seamlessly integrates with Google Reader, so you have your RSS Feeds on your Mac and online at Google.com.

Are you the type of person that usually has way too many tabs open in their browser or someone who wants an easy way to access specific websites from the Dock? If yes, then you should check out SSB’s, or Site Specific Browsers. Fluid is an application that allows you to easily create and customize SSB’s, and save them as Applications in your Dock, or even your Menu bar.

Simplify Media: Your Streaming Music Server
Though iTunes offers a sharing feature, it only goes so far. So, what if you want your music everywhere? Well, here is your solution. Simplify Media makes sharing music over the air incredibly easy. You can host your entire library and share with up to 30 other users. Simplify Media also saves space on all of your macs. All other macs besides the one you’re hosting on don’t have to have the music stealing space on their hard drives.

Google Notifier: An easy way to see if “You’ve got mail!”
I don’t know about you, but I find that having to constantly click between my email page, and the page I’m currently viewing just to see if there is any new email, can be very time consuming and tedious. RemotePad: A free trackpad and for the iPhone
There are many free apps on the iTunes App Store. Lots of them are terrible, but occasionally you will run into a really good one. Well, RemotePad is that “one”, in fact, it may actually be my favorite free iPhone-to-computer application on the App Store. RemotePad allows you to use your iPhone or iPod Touch as a keyboard and trackpad, over a network. Plus it’s open source, meaning you can acquire the source code of the app, and basically help improve and modify the application, if you are into that sorta thing.

Sequel Pro: MySQL From the Desktop
Practically every website on the Internet these days utilizes some sort of database to store data. Whether it is user account information or private banking information, databases are everywhere. As a web developer, I have to interact with databases very often in the course of my day, so I found it much easier to use a Desktop Application that can be launched with one click rather than having to click through many links to get to a web browser based management system. There are a few great applications for the Mac to accomplish this, but I have found the best to be Sequel Pro.
