Apple announces iOS 4.1
Today at the Apple media event Steve Jobs announces the introduction to iOS 4.1 for iPhone. As stated the main features include:
- Bugs fixed (proximity, bluetooth, iPhone 3G
- High Dynamic Range photos
- HD video upload over WiFi
- TV show rentals
- Game Center
High Dynamic Range photos is a fantastic new feature of iOS 4.1. So when you take an image, the iPhone takes 3 separate photos, one with highlights, shadows, and midranges… and combines them together to make HDR photos. Look at the image below showing the difference beforehand and the HDR result.
The Game Center is a wonderful new feature from iOS 4.1. Game center is mainly focused on multiplayer games. You can challenge your friends of they can challenge you, it offers a new style of gaming for the iPhone.
