AddressBookSync: Facebook + Address Book
I was on Facebook one day, when I realized that I have a lot of contacts in my Facebook address book with pictures that I really should have on my mac’s address book. I did a quick search for an app to do this and came across AddressBookSync, a mac application that makes syncing Facebook information, such as pictures, simple and easy.
AddressBookSync is a free Mac OS X application to download profile pictures and other Facebook data to Address Book cards. This is a handy tool to keep your contacts’ pictures updated if you have numerous Facebook friends in your Mac OS X Address Book.
The interface is clean and easy to use. The application is snappy and responsive. AddressBookSync is not only a wonderful and easy to use application, but it is free! It is single use, but what it does, it does well. I give it a 7 out of 10 simply because it can lag at times, but it hasn’t crashed yet! It can be downloaded here!
Huge flaw in the program – it doesn’t appear to add contacts from your facebook that don’t already exist in some capacity on your OS X contacts list. So essentially, it’s only good for adding pictures – which is cosmetic, but not particularly useful…
