TunesBar: See what you are hearing

TunesBar IconSome applications just need to have a permanent place on your Mac.  TunesBar, an amazing application for the Macintosh platform, belongs on your Mac from day one.  TunesBar is a wonderful, lightweight and extremely snappy application that integrates seamlessly with iTunes.

Once it is installed, you realize that iTunes should have had something like TunesBar from the beginning.  Basically, TunesBar displays in the menu bar what iTunes is currently playing.  When a song is actively playing, the text is bolded; when it is not, the text is faded.

Preferences for TunesBar can be located and launched by clicking on the displayed text in the menu bar.  Users can choose what to display, including the track name, artist, album, genre, and total time.  The fort size as well as separator characters can be changed as well.

The application is quick, simple, and really makes seeing what you are hearing easy to do.  The concept of TunesBar is simply wonderful and it is a definite must have for anyone using a Mac.  TunesBar is available from Thoughtful Tree Software for the price of 5.00 USD.
