MacPilot: Change the Hidden Settings of Your Mac
Sometimes in life there are somethings you just can’t change. For example, You cant change that nasty look your ex-girlfriend gives you when she sees you walking on the street. You also can’t change your habit of biting your nails when they grow too long or you are nervous. Well, I cant teach you how to change those things, but one thing I can show you is how to change some hidden settings of your Mac computer without even having to touch the terminal. Get ready to change your Mac with MacPilot.
MacPilot is an application that gives you the freedom to change some settings that your Mac wouldn’t let you control normally. From settings such as changing your dock to that old classic 2D dock we all love, To disabling the dashboard from loading for users who don’t even use their dashboard like me. you can also apply settings to different applications for example, you can turn off the genius feature from iTunes as well as disable the built in i-Sight for use in Photo Booth.
The application it self looks really nice. It uses tabs to organize all its features and makes it really easy to use. MacPilot also includes a short description of every setting there is to change. The only problem is there is a lot of advanced settings that sometimes not even the description helps. It would be better if they added more user friendly descriptions. Another thing I noticed is that it doesn’t only give you hidden advanced settings if not some regular settings you would normally see in the system preferences. I think its just easier to access settings through Macpilot than actually having to look for it in the system preferences it self. Some other good features of this application
