Funtastic Photos: Simple & Fun Photo Editing

A good, simple, and easy to use photo editing application can be hard to come by at times.  Either a photo editing app is too stripped of features to be useful, or it is way too complicated for the average user. Often, people simply want to perform basic edits or just make their photos more visually pleasing.  Funtastic Photos is the photo editing application designed with them in mind.

Funtastic Photos integrates seamlessly with iPhoto, making it perfect for the average user.  Users are given a number of “One Click Styles” to spice up their photos.  A few of these styles are very useful and really improve your photos, however, some of them are somewhat silly, such as the “Lost Dog Poster”.  These particular filters aren’t meant to be serious, though, and playing with them can be really fun.

Photo printing and sharing in the application is executed brilliantly.  There are numerous layouts for printing, including greeting cards, collages, and photo cubes. The sharing of photos is supported on Facebook, Flikr, Picassa Web Albums, and MobileMe.  This is executed simply and quickly.

Funtastic Photos allows for cropping and rotating of photos, as well as more advanced edits like brightness and contrast level adjustment.  Many color and artistic adjustments can be made as well. Finishing Touches, a section under Advanced Options, gives the user the option to add creative effects such as borders and reflections.

The simplicity of Funtastic Photos is astonishing; not only does it make photo editing easy, it makes it fun.  If I were to give this app a rating, I would give it a 9 out of 10 because of it’s vast array of features. Funtastic Photos is available from Ohonaware for 34.99 USD.
