WeatherCal: Weather Forecasts where you want them

WeatherCal iconHave you ever wanted your calendar to tell you the weather?  Do you need a simpler and more convenient way to get information about current and upcoming weather conditions?  WeatherCal does this and more by placing your 5-day forecast right inside of iCal!

After a quick instillation of WeatherCal on your mac, it is presented to you as a new pane in System Preferences.  There, you are presented with a simple, clean, and user friendly user interface.  To add a city to WeatherCal, simply click on the plus icon; to remove a city, click on the minus icon.  The only other options in the preference pane are the “About” and “Help” icons.

Picture 2The communication between iCal and WeatherPane is wonderful; updates are instantaneous.  Weather forecasts are presented as all day events with titles displaying the expected weather conditions as both an icon and text, followed by the high and low temperatures for the day.  Forecasts for different cities are easily distinguishable as each city is given a different color.  WeatherCal gives you the forecast of the current day, as well as 4 more upcoming days.

WeatherCal does what it is meant to do very well.  I was very impressed at the appearance of the application as well as the speed at which it installs and preforms. Simply put, WeatherCal is a necessity if you use iCal on a daily basis.
