Hazel: Organization made simple
Keeping your Mac organized can be a daunting task at times. Often Macintosh users are forced to change color labels, add spotlight comments, and move around files manually! This is not only time consuming, but it can often be very complicated. Hazel allows users to just sit back and relax while it does all of the work for you!
Hazel installs as a preference pane in System Preferences. The first section, Folders, lets users tell Hazel what to do with their files. Hazel can assign color labels, move files, and even import them into iTunes or iPhoto. An issue that may be encountered with the Folder section is that it does not affect subfolders. For example, if a user tells Hazel to assign color label “Orange” to “Music” in the music folder, files in “iTunes Music” (a subfolder in music) will not be affected.
Hazel also keeps your trash organized! The application can empty the trash on an hourly, daily, or monthly basis. Users can choose to normally delete files or to more securely dispose of them by way of “shredding”. App Sweep, another feature in Hazel, gives users the option to delete all files associated with the application you are uninstalling.
Hazel is an astounding application that provides ease of use, simplicity, and power to all those in possession of this wonderful application. Hazel is available from Noodlesoft as a 14-day-trial and costs a well-worth-it 21.95 USD afterwards.
