MoviePod: Easy iPod Converter

We have reviewed video converters on AppYourMac before, but I can truly say that none are as simple and easy to use as MoviePod. MoviePod can take many  video file types and can prepare them for playback in iTunes and obviously  iPods.

MoviePod takes it central goal and theme of iPod support and doesn’t include any complications on the route to high quality conversions. In fact, the options in MoviePod are limited to simple sliders for audio/video quality, 3 aspect ratios/resolutions and the option to de-interlace. That is it. While this is a great option for novices, this software is not for professionals, and it doesn’t try to be. It is simply designed to allow the everyday user to get their video content onto their iPods quickly and easily, without having to mess around with settings, and I can honestly say, therefore, it is one of the best options on the market.

MoviePod supports MOV, MPG, AVI, ASF and WMV video containers with a multitude of video codecs including VOB, DV, FLC, with wide enough support to get most of your favorite clips into your iPod. The files you convert can be saved to a definable folder along with itunes using it’s complete built-in itunes integration.
