Keep track of time with iClockr

Are you a person that works from their mac? It is hard to remember the amount of time you have spent on a project for a client? That is why there is a great application called iClockr. iClockr is a free mac application that keeps track of time on your tasks and projects. It doesn’t take up much CPU and is very simple. If you find yourself not being able to keep track of the time you work on applications or projects, then this is the application you need.

iClockr has a very easy-to-use interface offering you all the controls you need. It simply is an application that you just keep running to keep track of your work, which would come in handy if you work on your mac designing websites and you charge by the hour. Then this application could give you and your client a more exact accurate account of your time. It is always best to be honest about your work, you will build up so much more respect through your clients and they will be happy to work with you.

One of my favourite features on iClockr is the fact that when the application is keeping the time, it actually shows it on the application running in the dock. Which means you don’t have to go looking for that window that is tracking the time. I personally just think that is the best feature of the application. It saves you time looking for that open window if you have other windows open. And it means you can keep track of the time faster by just glancing at your dock every now and then.

So the main features of iClockr are Projects, Stopwatch, Time tracking, Tasks and Customers. Projects allows you to organize your tasks, if for example you had a lot of tasks for a customer it is easier to keep track of them all with the projects feature. The Stopwatch feature is when iClockr becomes a one-click stopwatch concept. You just simply select your task or project and press “Start Timer”. The Time tracking allows you to add and edit durations of time taken from the stopwatch. Tasks is explained by its name, each task is a virtual classification of your work within the project. Customers is possibly the second best feature of iClockr, you are able to assign any projects or tasks to customers which makes it so much easier to manage if you have a lot of customers.

iClockr is an excellent application for its purpose and for anyone that could find use in it. I personaly do a small bit of web design work and it is great being able to track how much time I have put into a project, allowing me to give my client a fair price. iClockr is another amazing freeware application so you should deffinetely give it a shot!
