Posterino: Put your photos to good use

Many people often face the problem where they take numerous, high quality photographs, yet they cannot find a way of displaying the photographs to exhibit them in their full glory. Posterino, made by Zykloid software, brings an innovative way in which to deal with your photographs. Posterino helps you to put your photographs into Postcards, Posters, Photo frames, as well as your own custom designs.

Upon opening the application, you will be given the choice of choosing from a Poster, Photo Frame, or Postcard template. You are also given the option of creating a blank document. If you choose one of the default templates, you are greeted by a window showing the template for your image as well as an ‘image picker’. You can get images from finder, or alternatively you can use images from Aperture or iPhoto. You then simply drag the images you wish to use into the template. Even though you are using a default template, you can easily change the size of individual images or add additional items if you wish. Alternatively, you can make the image from scratch. You simply start with a blank document, then add objects in which to hold your images. You can then proceed to add text or additional objects.

In Posterino, it is incredibly easy to make visually stunning Posters. By default, there are several stunning templates in which to add your photos. You can customize these templates further to cater for your needs. Posters give an excellent way to present your images. After producing one, you can print it, save it to your computer or upload it to Flickr. If you print a Poster that you created in Posterino, you will be amazed at how strikingly good it can look if it is put somewhere in your home. This is an excellent way in which to share all of your images in a totally unique, simple way.

Posterino also allows you to make some delightful looking Postcards. If you pick one of the default Postcard templates, you simply drag an image – or images -  to make up the main photographic element of the Postcard. You can then add your text. Posterino also gives you the ability to incorporate your own custom stamp and/or Postmark within the Postcard. Although these are not actual Stamps and Postmarks, they give the Postcard a great look and feel. Posterino then gives you the opportunity to email the Postcard to a friend. Although the Postcard’s do not take long to create, they have a charming look that many will appreciate.

Posterino currently retails at £16.18. This is an easily justifiable price for such an exquisite application.  It allows users to achieve professional looking results with minimum effort. It beats any competitors that it has when it comes to ease of use and overall effectiveness. Therefore, I recommend Posterino to anyone who wants to create unique pieces from their existing images, or wants to send the occasional quirky Postcard to a friend via email; it is a phenomenal application.
