Things: Task management made easy

Things by CulturedCode is a task management application for Mac OSX that makes managing and creating tasks simple, through it’s easy to use and intuitive interface. It seamlessly integrates with Apple’s iCal, and on the go with your iPhone and iPod touch, with the Things App that’s available on the App Store.
Most of us use a To-Do list on a daily basis, whether its for an important project, or just what needs to be picked up from the supermarket. Things helps you keep on top of your To-Do’s, and allows you to sync them up with your iPhone or iPod touch, so you’re always up-to-date.
When you open things for the first time, you’ll be met by its well-built, structured and beautiful interface, this makes creating and organizing your To-Do’s super simple. To create a new To-Do, just click the New button on the bottom left. Doing so will bring up a new To-Do in your Inbox, where you’ll be able to add in the details, notes, due date and some tags. When you’re done, just hit Enter and your To-Do will be saved.

If you don’t specify a due date when creating your To-Do, it will just be left in the Inbox – and for most users this is enough. However, along the left hand side, you’ll notice a few categories including Today, Next, Scheduled, Someday and Projects. Things will automatically add a To-Do that is required for the next day in the Today Category, so it can help you stay on-top of your To-Do’s, and you can easily drag and drop To-Do’s into different categories.
Things can also help you manage projects too, using the + icon at the lower left of the window, you can create a new project, and simply drag n’ drop To-Do’s associated with it into it. So for big tasks and projects, this is very handy little feature.
But, one of the main features of Things has to be the solid integration with its iPhone/iPod touch App. Available on the App Store for £5.99/$9.99, the Things iPhone App syncs seamlessly with the desktop version, meaning you can take your to-do’s on the go, and Things also syncs with iCal too.
All in all, Things has to be one of the easiest to use Task Management application for Mac OSX, with its solid integration with the iPhone/iPod touch app, its a no brainer to people who like to use To-Do lists to organize their day. Things is available on the CulturedCode website for $49.99. It really is a small price to pay to help getting your tasks completed!
