Backup your Mac with BackBlaze
What would happen right now if you lost all the data on your computer? Whether it be from theft, physical damage, or malfunction, it is very likely that at some point you will experience a significant loss of data. Imagine losing all of your pictures, movies, songs, documents and other important files, the consequences would be costly at best. BackBlaze will restore your data when the unthinkable happens.
What about Time Machine and backing up to a CD? While these are great things to do (I personally use Time Machine as well), they do not offer complete protection. It is silly to depended solely upon a backup source that is near your computer. Theft, fire, and other “acts of God” could easily destroy both at the same time. BackBlaze solves this “location” problem. BackBlaze runs quietly in the background, backing up your data (using your Internet connection) to their remote servers using military grade encryption.
BackBlaze can be controlled through your preference plane, giving you many options of what to backup, how often, and at what speed. You will not even notice BackBlaze running in the background, it does not slow down your Mac, and I did not notice any significant slow down of my Internet speed using BackBlaze. It will automatically save all your data (files up to 4GB) the very second it is created or modified. So what happens when you need your backed up data? You can simply download a .zip file from BackBlaze or they will send you CDs or a USB drive containing all of your data.

BackBlaze is a great application for backing up your Mac, costing only $5.00 per month or $50.00 for a year if you pay upfront. You get unlimited storage for this low rate. I cannot recommend this application enough, I have it backing up the two MacBooks I use in my business. Purchase BackBlaze today, and never worry again about losing your data!

Sounds like a great application! I use Time Machine as well, so I might not use this product, but it certainly appeals to the person who really wants their data to be protected. Great post, David!
I just signed up. Thanks for the tip!
Would be cooler if it worked as a time machine plugin as you would get the benefits of the interface plus the security knowing that your files are being backed up in a remote location.
Wow thats actually savage pity there isnt one for a pc
