Make images gorgeous with Picturesque

Picturesque is a simple image editing application for your mac, offering a very easy to use interface. It allows you to give your images a magical touch. If you are looking for an application to just make your images stand out more or to give them some funky effects, then Picturesque is the application you need. When you open up the application, you are greeted by a small window asking you to “Drop Images Here”. So of course follow its instructions, once you do drop an image in the window you will be taken into the applications editing panel. In the editing panel you are able to make the images look gorgeous. With adding features such as 3D Effects, Reflections, Curves, Easy Shadows, Glows and Strokes. It really is magical how simple this application is to use.

One of my favorite features in Picturesque, is that it offers an awesome 3D perspective. With just 2 sliders, Picturesque lets you create the gorgeous 3D perspective effect. Another useful effect that Picturesque has to offer, is the reflection effect. All images look so much more enhanced when you add a reflection to them, no matter what kind of image they are. The reflection adjuster could not have been made any easier to use, on the right is a screen shot. As you can see all you have to do is drag the sliders to position the amount that you want made on the Length, Opacity or Offset.

Other useful features from Picturesque would be to add Curves, Shadows, Glows and Strokes. I personally am a huge fan of the curves effect, I really like how it effects the image. You can add a stroke, which is another word for a line around the image, then adjust the stroke to whatever colour and size you want it at. Then go to the curves selection and tick which ever corners you want the curve effect on. To make it even better you can adjust how much of a bend that the curve will have. You can also crop the image if needed. Picturesque also keeps track of all your favorite styles in style with its presets.

Picturesque is currently retailed at $34.95 and the AppYourMac Team would say it is worth the money! It offers a lot for its great price. Picturesque was developed by Acqualia, who also have a great calculator application called Soulver, which is also worth having a look at.
