Chimera: PhotoBooth for iPhone
Ever wanted more out of the camera application on your iPhone? Chimera is the application for you. Think of Chimera as “Photo Booth” for your iPhone. Chimera does everything the existing photo application does, plus much more. This application is robust with features that you would usually only find in a digital camera, combined with the effects that are offered in Mac OS X’s native Photo Booth application.

The most fun part of Chimera is the different effects you can use to take pictures, these include: Airbrush, Edges, Inverse, Saturate, Cartoon, Trace, Grayscale, Sepia, Night Vision, Predator, Dream, Sandy, and many more. You can use these to take artistic shots, or just have fun with your friends. Chimera saves the pictures to your iPhone in the same manner the native camera application does. When using one of the effects, Chimera splits the screen in two, showing you what it will look like with effects applied, and what it looks like when there is no effect – allowing you to get the perfect shot.
Chimera does not just offer “fun” tools like effects, but actual professional features. You can chose to have a delay when taking a picture, a stabilization feature, a “wait for faces” feature, color management, and much more.

This truly is like having your native camera application beefed up with the features offered in a digital camera and the Photo Booth application. I did notice some buggy features with the application, but that could just be the iPhone’s OS, I asked another person who has the application and they reported no problems.
The Chimera application is an awesome deal, considering the low price of $2.99. I would almost think that Apple would want to integrate these amazing features into the native camera application. Until then, purchase Chimera, and you will have professional and fun photography on your iPhone.

Great Review!
Please make an application that makes it possible to use the mic button on the iPhone earbuds as a shutter release. If there is one please let me know. The on screen button is hard to use, way to sensitive.
it doesnt work for the app store in the US yet, any way this will get there soon?
