Delicious Library 2.0: Catalogue Your Library

Delicious Library IconEver wanted to catalogue everything in you own? Well, thanks to Delicious Library 2.0 from Delicious Monster, you can! With innovative technologies, you can now hold up a bar code to your iSight, then Delicious Library will scan Amazon and many other online sites that read barcodes and will find the item, and add it into your library.

Delicious also adds in the shelves from your iTunes library, with Music, Movies and TV Shows. You can also use voice search to find items, like saying Russell Brand will show the item results for Russell Brand – My Booky Wook. The software is easy to use, clean and simple. If you don’t like holding up heavy objects to your iSight, don’t fret, because you can buy a wireless Bluetooth Scanner, which can connect up with any Bluetooth enabled Mac, and you can scan barcodes willy nilly. Another alternative is to type out the titles and barcodes of your items.

Delicious Library.

Some of you may be thinking, “Why would I want to download this?”. Well, if you loaned a book or a movie to a friend, you can drag the item over your friend’s name, and Delicious Library will class the items as loaned. So, it helps you keep track of who has your items, and where they have them. Also, you can save your list to your iPod, and know what you have on the go. How about publishing your library? Yes, that’s possible, you can post it to your own FTP server, of to your .Mac or Mobile Me account.

I personally love this product, and I’m sure you will too! I’d give this software a ten out of ten. You can get a free version, which allows you to scan in 25 items, but if you want to scan your entire library, it’s certainly worth $40. Delicious Library 2.0 is deffinetely worth checking out and is higly recomened.
